Zsóka is a theoretical evolutionary biologist, doing research on the evolution of cooperation in humans and other animals. She received both her MSc and PhD degrees at the Eötvös Loránd University. During her PhD studies she has spent 3 months at the Newcastle University, and 6 months at the Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research.
During the years of her studies she worked as a social and cognitive trainer for children with ADHD. She has also worked for a couple of months as a nurse at a child and adolescent psychiatry department. Before and during all the above, she has spent plenty of time learning, playing, singing and arranging classical music.
