Ruben Noorloos

Ruben is currently pursuing PhD studies in Philosophy at Central European University. Before coming to Budapest, he completed an MA degree in Philosophy and a BA degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. During his MA he worked as a researcher on a project at the intersection of philosophy and educational theory, for which he co-wrote several academic articles and organized and attended workshops. In his current research he is exploring how Early Modern theories of the mind – particularly Spinoza’s – can illuminate contemporary thinking about the mind. In his free time he enjoys reading, music, movies and going on long hikes.
