Peter holds an MSc in physics with a teaching degree from ELTE Budapest, and a PhD in philosophy from CEU Budapest, which he earned after studying and doing research at ELTE, the University of Debrecen, CEU, and, with a Chevening Scholarship, at Oriel College, Oxford. His dissertation was about the metaphysics of free will. He worked for years as a philosophy lecturer at the University of Debrecen, and more recently was involved in the teaching of a course on the metaphysics of time at CEU. His main research interests are in the philosophy mind and in the philosophy of physics. Peter also has a strong interest in political philosophy, and has an extensive experience in politics and public policy. In his own time, Peter is a keen hiker and plays in a band.
