Péter is an applied mathematician currently working as a research fellow of the MTA-BME Information Systems Research Group. His general areas of research include probability theory, operations research and optimization, he has published numerous academic papers on control and assignment problems for road traffic. Péter completed his doctoral studies at the University of Amsterdam in 2016 and holds a PhD in mathematics. He has also worked as a researcher at the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden and at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in Chennai, India. He also gained experience in teaching at the programs of A Matematika Összeköt Egyesület, an organization which has played a key role in recent years in popularizing mathematics and logical thinking by connecting them to a healthy lifestyle. Péter has been volunteering there since 2006.
