Noa is a fourth year PhD student and teaching assistant at the University of Leeds, School of Politics and International Studies. She received her BA in Philosophy at ELTE University’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities, where her studies focused on social and political philosophy. Subsequently she studied at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, to gain an MSc in Social and Political Sciences and an MA in Political Philosophy. Her main fields are global justice theory and gender (in)justice. In her PhD dissertation, she aims to conceptualise the global phenomenon of violence against women within the frameworks of contemporary justice theory. She teaches/taught university level and prep level courses in the following subjects: Freedom, Power and Resistance – Introduction to Political Theory; Political Philosophy – Justice, Community and Conflict; Global Justice Theory and Gender Justice; Social Movements and Social Justice; Introduction to Feminist Social and Political Thought; Violence Against Women. She is also involved in the work of two Hungarian women’s rights organisations the PATENT Association and the NANE Association.
