Márton is an economist and a social scientist who gained his PhD in Geography at the University of Liverpool where his research focused on the possible social and political effects of a British nuclear power plant investment project. As an interdisciplinary researcher, he holds a degree in Economics from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics  as well as a degrees  in Environmental Studies from ELTE and Sociology from Lancaster University, UK. He is a devoted environmentalist and social activist who has been involved in the work of numerous Hungarian NGOs. Currently he works as a researcher and as a professional energy policy expert. In his spare time he enjoys travelling, indoor climbing, swimming, ornithology and socialising with his friends.
