Ráhel (Katalin) has MA degrees in Sociology (ELTE Faulty of Social Sciences), Aesthetics (ELTE Faculty of Arts) and Gender Studies (CEU). She earned her PhD in 2018 in Comparative Gender Studies at CEU with a dissertation providing a social analysis of narrative identity constructions of bisexuality in Hungary. Ráhel’s research interest includes interview methodology, social linguistics, sexuality studies, feminism and violence against women, Central-Eastern Europe and global inequalities. She worked in international research and activist projects, in academic organizations (Hungarian Sociological Association and Past, Inc. Center for Historical Studies, CEU), and in journal editing (Review of Sociology, Journal of East Central Europe). She teaches courses at ELTE and in advanced colleges in Budapest.
