Jesse studied Health and Development (BA) and Journalism (MA) in the Netherlands and Intercultural Psychology and Education (MA) in Budapest. After obtaining his first master’s (2011), he moved to Quito where he founded Local Dreamers, a small-scale NGO combating social injustice and inequity in disadvantaged Ecuadorian communities. Upon his return to Europe, five years later, he went back to class and started working as a Central and Eastern Europe correspondent for several Dutch newspapers. In his free time, Jesse enjoys all kinds of sports, reading, traveling, board games and, pssst… karaoke.
