Izabela studied International Relations for her BA at the University of Leicester as well as for her M.Res. at the University of St Andrews. She furthered her studies in  International Relations track for her PhD at the Central European University in Budapest. During her doctoral studies and before joining the Milestone Institute she held a number of visiting research and teaching positions at different institutions including University College London in the UK, Marburg University in Germany, National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy in Ukraine and Univates University in Lajeado, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In her free time she enjoys travelling, international cuisine and swimming.
