Henriett is the director and alumna of a Hungarian Roma youth organisation, Romaversitas Foundation. She is a lawyer, political scientist and a human rights activist. As a young researcher, she started her career at the Institute for Legal Studies at Hungarian Academy of Sciences, studying criminal and constitutional law in a comparative context. She spent a year conducting her PhD research on hate crimes at the University of Alberta, Canada. Henriett also worked in various expert positions for legal and human rights organisations in Hungary and internationally, such as OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions for Human Rights in Warsaw and Chance for Children Foundation in Budapest. Prior to taking over the leadership of Romaversitas, she was involved the Hungarian Working Group Against Hate Crime, conducting international research on police investigation protocols and creating recommendations for legislation and judicial practice pertaining to hate crimes in Hungary.
