
Gyula is a PhD candidate at the ELTE Hevesy György PhD School and a Research Assistant Fellow at the Institute of Chemistry at ELTE. He graduated at the same university with a BSc and later an MSc in Chemistry. When attending secondary school, Fazekas Mihály Secondary School of Budapest, he participated three times in the International Chemistry Olympiad and won a bronze, a silver and a gold medal. He has been giving private lessons as a tutor for secondary school or university students and mentoring them in the field of Chemistry and other Natural Sciences for more than 10 years. Now his research area is protein NMR spectroscopy, he is investigating the role of mutations in cancer-related proteins. In his spare time he likes playing the piano, reading, doing sports and dealing with interdisciplinary questions of science, theology and philosophy.
