Gergely holds an MSc in Psychology from Leiden University and a degree in Performing Arts from the Bern University of Arts. Currently he is following a postgraduate vocational training course in Counselling Psychology at Eötvös Loránd University ( ELTE). Earlier in his life, Gergely worked as a performing theatre and film artist and as a journalist for various media in addition to holding the post of communications director for Friends of the Earth Germany non-governmental organisation. Currently he works in private practice as a psychologist.
