Gergely graduated at the University of Cambridge, where he read Land Economy. During university, he was active in the finance, real estate, and debating societies, as well as taking part in regional and national political campaigns as an activist, and later, campaign manager. His academic focus was real estate finance and regional development, writing his dissertation on Hungarian return migration from the UK with references to the disparities between the EU Core and Peripheries. He currently works as a digital engagement lead at a Hungarian digital transformation specialist.
