Gabi graduated from ELTE Budapest with degrees in Art History and in English. She is currently completing her doctoral dissertation at the same university in the Philosophy Graduate School. She has been teaching ever since she was a uni student and has tought courses in French, American and Hungarian institutions of higher education in recent years. She worked in a theatre, in higher education ministerial administration, in a contemporary art museum and as a free-lance editor and translator prior to that. Her focus has gradually shifted from Art History to Cultural Criticism: now her main research interest is the (political) communication of the public space. Gabi is an active member of socially critical groups in her neighbourhood and has volunteered in a number of advocacy projects where she has helped underprivileged people, groups and families.
