Eszter Szép is a scholar, educator and curator, researching comics, popular culture, and contemporary literature. Her first monograph, Comics and the Body: Drawing, Reading, and Vulnerability, was published by the Ohio State University Press in 2020. Eszter holds a PhD in contemporary English and American literature and culture from Eötvös Loránd University. She curated the first comics exhibition on the history of Hungarian comics in the National Széchényi Library in 2018 and has edited a catalog of the above exhibition (2018). Eszter is a peer reviewer for academic journals and book series, and is the book reviews editor of the Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics.
