Eszter Rónai

Eszter holds a BA in Linguistics from the University of Cambridge and she is currently a PhD student at the University of Chicago. Her main areas of interest are theoretical and experimental semantics and pragmatics, as well as psycholinguistics:  broadly speaking, how meanings arise in natural language and are processed in the mind. Specific projects she has worked on include doubly quantified sentences, exhaustivity of focus, and top-down contextual effects of contrast interacting with bottom-up sound processing.
