Percussionist Dániel Bolgár completed his Master studies at the Royal College of Music in London (2012) and the Liszt Ferenc Music Academy in Budapest (2015). Besides London and Budapest, Dániel is fortunate to have studied percussion and drums in New Jersey, Vienna, Linz, and Antwerp. During this time he had the opportunity to take part in many festivals throughout Europe and perform in several concerts as soloist and chamber musician. Dániel is especially proud to have performed as a solo artist at the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, and the National Gallery. Although Dániel’s main focus is Western Classical music, he has also tried himself at many other genres, playing percussion and drums in rock/pop and world music formations. Besides music, Dániel also studied political science and communication (BA). These days, Daniel performs both solo and chamber music at Budapest’s top concert venues. He is passionate about teaching and enjoys composing music, and a percussion solo piece of his was recently published in the Netherlands. Since moving back from London, Dániel has been teaching in various international and state music schools in Budapest. In his free time, he enjoys watching good films and reading Scandinavian crime fiction.
