Christopher R. Cox is an international educator, writer, and musician from the United States. He holds an MSc in Political Science and International Relations from Portland State University and is a PhD Candidate (ABD) in Geography from the University of Washington. He has taught at the college level in geography and sociology, and currently teaches social studies and geography at the International Baccalaureate level at the International School of Budapest. His research and essays have been published in the journals Capitalism Nature Socialism, Telos, the AAG Review of Books, and on the Historical Materialism Blog. He is interested in critical human geography, urban studies, environmental history, and global debates about the Anthropocene and species extinction. He now lives full time in Budapest with his wife Szilvia, his son Oliver and his dog Zoltan.
