Borbála holds a BA in Anthropology and Sociology from Durham University, where she completed her studies in 2013. She joined the Nationalism Studies Programme of the Central European University (CEU) in 2014 and graduated with an MA in 2016. For her thesis she conducted an ethnogprahic research in a Hungarian village in Transylvania, examining the effects of nationalist politics on the everyday life of villagers. She worked as a research assistant at CEU and as a social worker in a nursing home for the elderly. After volunteering in their children’s programme for many years, she is currently a programme coordinator of an NGO, working with families living in rural Roma settlements near Budapest.
