Boldizsár Fejérvári was born in Győr, in 1977. His first teacher of English, who had a decisive influence on his early career, was Judit Dankó. He graduated from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest in English as well as Scandinavian Studies (MA, 2003), where he has also completed his doctoral courses, under the auspices of Prof. Ágnes Péter. He is set to defend his dissertation dealing with a multi-perspective assessment of Thomas Chatterton’s oeuvre in 2018. Former editor-in-chief of Budapest-based Athenaeum Publishing House, he continues regularly to accomplish tasks of translation, interpreting, copy-editing, and proofreading. He was an editor, typesetter, and webmaster for The AnaChronisT journal. He taught at Pázmány Catholic University between 2005 and 2013. Since 2003, he has given seminars at the ELTE Eötvös József College, where he has led the Anglo-American Studies Workshop since 2012. He specializes in English-language literatures and theory, with particular regard to the long 18th century and modernity, but he also teaches other periods, interdisciplinary approaches (including music and fine art), and essay writing.
