Bálint is a fourth year PhD student at CEU’s Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations. He received his BA in International Relations from Corvinus University of Budapest, followed by an MA degree in Political and Social Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. His current research focuses on contemporary political party organizations, and the extent to which online decision-making processes contribute to internal democracy. Besides his research, Bálint has also taught courses as a teaching assistant at CEU, and as a visiting lecturer at ELTE. Prior to embarking on a PhD, Bálint worked as a political correspondent for mainstream Hungarian news site Index.hu. He has also been involved in the work of several anti-corruption NGOs as a volunteer.
