Attila studied Philosophy and English Studies in Budapest, as well as at various institutions in the US and the UK. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Political Theory at Central European University, Budapest, working mostly on democratic theory, political participatory rights, and methodological issues in political philosophy. He was a Balzan Fellow at New York University in 2012-13, where he focused on political philosophy at the Department of Philosophy and in the Law School. He was a visiting researcher in 2014 at the University of Arizona, and in 2014-15 at the University of Warwick. He has taught political theory, philosophy of literature and academic writing in various Hungarian universities. In addition to his academic interests, he also works for a major human rights watchdog NGO in Budapest, and enjoys swimming, reading and socialising with friends.
