Attila is a doctoral researcher at the Central European University, and senior consultant of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Climate-KIC, who mainly focuses on sustainable development, cities, and innovation. His work at CEU aims to understand what factors influence the deployment of urban sustainability solutions and what systemic interventions could catalyse the process, through conducting governance research in cities of China, Canada, Hungary and Singapore. At Climate-KIC, he works on developing and benchmarking transversal competency frameworks for sustainability transitions, innovation and entrepreneurship. His work experience also includes several years of European Union and United Nations project management, coordinating local NGOs and international networks, as well as academic lecturing up to master’s level in the field of sustainable development, resilience, and innovation. His qualifications include a master’s degree with the highest honours in regional and environmental economics and a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering. He enjoys swimming, hiking, video games and board games, and he is an avid traveller who likes to explore countries off the beaten path. At Milestone he supported the founding and development of the Milestone Innovation Society as a mentor.
