Akos is currently working at the Office of the Gender Advisor to SACT at HQ Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, one of the two strategic headquarters of NATO. He holds a BscEcon in International Politics and Intelligence studies from Aberystwyth University where he focused his studies on gender in armed conflicts and on intelligence analysis, and an MPhil in Multi-Disciplinary Gender Studies from Cambridge University, where he wrote his thesis on the use of gender as a political tool within the so-called Islamic State. The primary focus of his research have been gender in terrorist propaganda materials and governance; post-structuralist philosophy; gender theory; and narrative approaches to feminist security studies and terrorism studies. In his free time, Akos enjoys going on long hikes, reading and CrossFit.
