Mathematics is not about learning facts declared by someone, but is about a creative discovery and validation of the universal, hidden connections and logical consequences. It is a journey to a place yet to be discovered that everybody can go to independently of time, location and any special props. The more time we spend there exploring the area, the more we understand its nature.
We aim to explore some important and interesting areas of mathematics (projective geometry, matrices, coding theory, solutions formulae, complex numbers) with this mindset through various puzzles. We start most of the discussions from Youtube-videos of popular channels (3Blue1Brown, Mathologer, Veritasium, Stand-up Maths) and take their message to the next level together at class. The module is ideal for lower year students interested in exploring some hidden beauties in maths.
