In this module we will be taking a look at how different design professions modulate the space around us (both physical and virtual), including photography, advertisement and web design, fashion, film and theatre, architecture and product design as well as digital space, such as videogames. We will also be discussing design techniques and sensibilities common in all of these different design professions, such as composition, brightness, contrast, saturation and vibrance, colour theory, patterns, textures and more.

This course is aimed at those who are contemplating a career in creative fields, such as architecture, interior design, film or theatre set design, videogame design and much more. The course also aims to show how a lot of these design skills are directly translatable from one design field to another.
