This module aims to give a panoramic view of what modernity means, as this concept can be slippery and easily misunderstood. Throughout the course, we will focus on the philosophical, social, political, and artistic implications of this core concept. The module is suitable for students with limited or no knowledge of the topic. It is highly recommended for those wishing to study Art Theory, Architecture, Political Science, Anthropology, and Social Sciences. Students interested in modern art are warmly welcome.
