Since the field of network science is very much interdisciplinary, students will be able to understand and discuss problems from various aspects. The aim is to show them how the same abstract model can lie behind problems in physics, biology, economics, computer science or sociology. The module is going to lie emphasis on reading charts, graphs, scientific figures, and to practice applying the mathematical formalism on real-world networks. The course level and the assignment designs will be suitable for freshman students from all backgrounds.
