Exploring Maths

The aim of this module is to show a brief introduction to the basic concepts of mathematics. We will explore how mathematics work and gain experience in different areas where the typical mathematical logic can be tracked through a few different topics. We will not focus on the precise definitions the purpose is more to give insight to higher level modules. In addition we will also touch the applications and relations to other sciences or the real world. The module does not require specific previous knowledge though an interest in the topic is important. Also, the module is not expected to contain a lot of new material for those who already attend special math courses, summer camps, etc. Last, the module is also recommended for those who are probably not going to use this knowledge, but would like to hear a few interesting part about mathematics.
