This module aims to give an introduction to the field of developmental psychology. Students will gain understanding of important topics in the field, including but not limited to memory development, theory of mind, language development, psychopathology, and attachment. The module also aims to instill a basic grasp of the pertinent methodologies and the major themes in the field of developmental psychology. By the end of the module, in addition to recognizing the important themes and topics, students should be able to formulate research questions as assessed by a research proposal. This module is open for all students who are curious about the study of human developmental behavior and cognition, and is particularly suitable for students who are interested in pursuing further education in social science disciplines such as psychology, sociology, and education.
