During this course, we will look at paintings to see how it is possible to get excess into them and to see how they can affect the viewer. To understand or rather to question who the viewer is and what cultural, social and personal
factors make an impact on him/her it is important to have a look at some theories like iconography, iconology, hermeneutics, picture anthropology, etc.

The sessions are designed along with the topic of the female body, motherhood, and womanhood with associations to vanitas (vanity) and death.

The focus will not remain in old times: apropos every work of art, we will see the channels they come down to us today.

The classes are intended to be creative and interactive with theories to support our thinking.
