The first part of the module focuses on research methodology discussing the most important factors one needs to take into account when designing experiments or observational studies. After a general introduction we will go on with data analysis and statistics where students will acquire practical skills necessary for evaluating their results. In addition they will have a comprehensive understanding of the theory behind hypothesis testing and statistical methods that will allow them to further widen their knowledge if necessary. By the end of the module students will be able not only to design a study addressing their interests but also to critically evaluate other researchers’ work, which is a strong starting point for them to do successful research in the future.
