The module will offer a more advanced picture of the complex intercellular mechanism. Physiology is the study of functions of organisms. Cells are its most fundamental building block. Understanding the physiology of cell gives the students the ability to explore more complicated systems, which are essentially made up of groups of cells performing the same acts. The course will discuss all aspects of cellular activities within a functional scope, rather than a structural perspective. From basic cellular physiology, students will learn how organisms maintain homeostasis, specifically acid-‐base balance, and thermoregulation. This module is a gateway for students who want to pursue career in biology, biomedicine, natural sciences, biochemistry, biotechnology, etc.
