The aim of the course is to broaden and deepen students’ knowledge in physics, and to put the already acquired knowledge into new perspectives. In all lectures general laws of a particular field of physics are stated, explained and applied to various problems. The module helps to understand physics at a deeper level, and highlights general interrelations. The four double lectures are about the following topics: selected problems in mechanics, image charge method in electrostatics, scaling and dimensional analysis, optics.
