Bioinorganic chemistry is an interesting combination of organic and inorganic world. This module aims to demonstrate the role of inorganic compounds such as metal ions in function of proteins, enzymes as well as their essential function in skeletons, shells etc. The charge of ions play an important role in ionic strength and electrochemical processes for instance in nervous system. Artificial biocompatible inorganic compounds used widely in transplantations will be also covered.
