Medicine Interview Preparation

The Tutorial is designed for students who wish to apply to Medicine in the UK or medical schools in other countries that interview candidates. It is an interview preparation module requiring active participation from everyone and positive as well as supportive attitude towards fellow students. Throughout the two double sessions students will do exercises which may come up on multiple mini interviews (MMI) and other interview formats. Students are expected to be ready to respond to questions about their personal statements, to have a clear explanation of why do they want to study medicine, understanding of medical ethics, a basic understanding of the NHS and the specialty training system in the UK. Self-reflection on their capabilities and their hospital experiences will be also needed. The preparation will be a good opportunity to improve interview skills and to learn how to cope with unexpected situations.
