In this eight-week course, we will explore a variety of texts in some depth and from different angles. The skills and concepts used will be very useful most obviously for anyone thinking of pursuing further literary study – but also for anyone who values the ability to respond to familiar and unfamiliar texts with intelligence, understanding, and curiosity.
Rather than being purely linear, literary awareness advances along something more like a network of associations, with progress possible in any number of directions
