Macroeconomics is one of the two broad areas of economics that deal with the study of the aggregate behaviour of an economy. It strives to answer questions such as what drives Inflation, exchanges rates, unemployment and the aggregate output of an economy?

This module provides a solid introduction to macroeconomics at the level of 1st year undergraduate course in economics. It offers an overview of macroeconomic issues (output, unemployment, interest rates, exchange rate and inflation) and policies (monetary and fiscal policies).

The course develops from simple concepts of economic thinking and develops further to specific issues about the macro economy. For students with a strong interest in economics and business, this is the right course.
